Last night on MSNBC’s Hardball program, host Chris Matthews asked Howard Wolfson, Hillary Clinton’s communications director, about—you guessed it—”change.” I don’t know what Wolfson’s response says about Clinton’s ability to be the president, but I’m absolutely convinced that she’d make a great cashier-in-chief. Here’s the transcript:
Matthews: Is Hillary the change candidate, or is Obama the change candidate? I can’t tell.
Wolfson: Look, everybody is talking about change. So, the question becomes, how do you make change, and what kind of change are you going to make? Hillary Clinton has got 35 years of experience making change, and if you want to know what kind of change she’s going to make, look at the change she’s already made in her life.
