The first bit is quoted here:

Tiger Woods hung on long enough today, against Rocco Mediate, to win the U.S. Open and his 14th major championship while sharing the lead after 54 holes. Rocco Mediate made one of the most remarkable runs down the stretch, having been down 3 strokes today and then coming into the 18th hole ahead by one. […]

Happy Fathers Day. Unfortunately for San Diego golf fans, natives Phil Mickelson and Pat Perez will not share the spotlight at the 108th US Open at Torrey Pines. Heading into the final day, Tiger Woods leads the field at 3-under-par with only Lee Westwood and Rocco Mediate having shot under-par after 3 rounds. Pat Perez […]

Here’s a quick excerpt:

For you sports nuts, here’s a nice piece in the L.A. Times about former rebounding machine and current television loose cannon Charles Barkley. I might move to Alabama just so I can vote for him for governor in 2014.

An Open Letter to Yankee Fans Who are Upset about the David Ortiz Jersey Prank
Dear Yankee fans,
Get a freaking grip. Any of you who are whining about the Boston fan (Gino Castignoli) who buried a David Ortiz jersey under a cement slab in the new Yankee stadium, needs to look up the word “prank” in […]

The whole point of having the Olympic torch traverse the globe and make a bunch of stops in various countries is to generate and excitement for the Olympic Games.
